The beam from a diode laser is used to investigate the refraction of a piece of plastic. The light has a wavelength of 549 nm in vacuum and is incident on the surface of the plastic at 40.7 degrees. The beam is refracted to 30.9 degrees from the normal.

Determine the wavelength of the light in the plastic in nanometers (nm).
