Using Microsoft Excel, a biochemist determines her Beer's Law equation from her colorimetric absorbance-copper concentration data to be, y=1779.1x where y is absorbance and x is copper concentration in g/mL. She wishes to analyze for copper sulfate in a 50 mL unknown sample solution.

a) Calculate the concentration of copper in her unknown solution if after colorimetric analysis she obtained an absorbance reading of 0.608.

b) Determine the total mass of copper in her 50 mL unknown solution.
