Suppose an electron is accelerated from rest through a difference in potential of V = 6.23 V. The electron now collides head-on with a photon of frequency fo = 7.67x1016 Hz moving in the opposite direction. After the "collision", the photon bounces backward with frequency f' = 2.53x1016 Hz.
