An experiment similar to the one in this module was performed to determine the solubility and the solubility product constant of gallic acid, a monoprotic organic acid (molar mass = 170.12 g/mol).  The equilibrium involved is:

C6H5O3COOH (s) --> C6H5O3COO- (aq) + H+ (aq)

Titrations using 0.114 M NaOH were performed, and the following data were obtained:

temperature of solution = 20.2oC

volume of acid solution titrated = 25.00 mL

volume of NaOH solution used = 14.61 mL
