A tape moves over drums A and B as shown. Drum A has a mass of 0.5 kg and a radius of gyration of 32 mm. Drum B has a mass of 0.25 kg and a radius of gyration of 16 mm. The radius of drum A and drum B are 40 mm and 20 mm, respectively.

Knowing that the tension in the portion of tape to the left of drum A is and remains to be 4 N,

Determine

(a) the required constant tension TB if the speed of the tape is increased by 4 m/s in 0.3 seconds and

(b) the corresponding tension in the portion of the tape between the drums.
