A Rankine cycle has a boiler pressure of 2500 psi and a condenser pressure of 1psi. The temperature at the inlet of the turbine is 800F. The turbine has an isentropic efficiency of 90 percent and the pump operates isentropically. The net work of the cycle is 1000kW of power. Determine: the mass flow rate, the power produced by the turbine, the rate of heat supplied to the boiler and the thermal efficiency.
