A uniform electric field of 1.5 × 104 N/C is oriented in the positive x direction. A uniform magnetic field of 5 T is oriented in the negative x direction. A proton, which is free to move, is initially at rest and located at the origin at time t = 0. Ignore gravity.

(a) What is the net force on the proton?

(b) What is the velocity (magnitude and direction) of the proton after it has moved 6 m from the origin?

(c) As the proton moves, does its electric potential energy increase, decrease or remain the same?

(d) What is the change in the proton's electric potential after it has moved 6 m from the origin?
