Question: It is believed that regular physical exercise leads to a lower resting pulse rate. Following are data for n = 20 individuals on resting pulse rate and whether the individual regularly exercises or not. Assuming that this is a random sample from a larger population, use this sample to determine if the mean pulse is lower for those who exercise. Clearly show all five steps of the hypothesis test. Use a = .05 and specify whether you are using the pooled or unpooled procedure.
