An element of aluminium in a form of a rectangular parallel pipe has a length 'a' along the x axis of 5.5 in, a length 'b' on the y axis of 4.5 in. and a length 'c' along the z axis of 3.5 in. the block is subjected to a sress sigma x of 12500 psi, a stress sigma y of -5000 psi and a stress sigma z of -1400 psi. Determine the maximum shear stress in the material, the change in length of each of the dimensions a, b and c and the change in volume.
