Steel beams of wide-flange section W12 x 87 serve as a series of posts. Determine the maximum allowable distributed force per length that can be tolerated prior to buckling. Consider that buckling can occur in either transverse plane. Take the beams to be cantilevered at their base but pinned at the upper end (regardless of the plane of buckling). The spacing between posts is w = 20 ft, and the post length is L = 14 ft. (See Appendix E.)
