A rectangular open channel with a width of 10 ft and n = 0.013 conveys a discharge of 300 cfs. The upstream portion of the channel has a slope of 10%, which then abruptly changes to a slope of zero downstream. The depth of flow in the downstream channel is 6 ft, and flow in the steep portion of the channel can be assumed to be uniform. Determine the location where a hydraulic jump forms in the flat part of the channel.
