The discharge in a rectangular channel 4m wide is constant. A depth of 2.3m is maintained by a 1.7m-high contracted (both ends) horizontal weir (c=1.86) with a 1-m long horizoantal crst. This weir is to be replaced by an uncontracted horizontal weir that will maintain the same upstream depth. Determine the height of the weir if the discharge coefficient is based on the following equation: C = 1.78 * 0.22(H/p)
