Three pipes in a parallelsystem run between points A & B on a water distribution network delivering 400L/s. Pipe 1 is a 350 mm PVC main 4000 m long, Pipe 2 is a concrete pipe 250 m long and 80 mm in diameter, and Pipe 3 is cast iron pipe of 100 mm diameter that is1000 m in length with an absolute roughness of5x10-4 m.

Minor loss coefficientsfor Pipes 1, 2 & 3 are 5, 15 and 18 respectively. Determine the head-loss between points A & B.
