Problem 1: For the following truss, each member has the same EA. All members are pin connected at their joints.

(i) Under the loads at C and D, determine the displacement of joint D along the CD direction (20')

(ii) Without consideration of the loads at C and D, if the member CB is fabricated 1 inch too short, determine the horizontal displacement of joint D (20').
