1. A d.c. to d.c. chopper circuit has the parameters of a source frequenCy of 150 Hz and an on time of 3 ms. vohage of 90 V, chopper When this chopper drives an inductive load of 1.5 0 and 15 mH, determine:

a. the average load current,

b. the maximum load current,

c. the minimum load current.

The same chopper circuit with the same parameters is then used to drive a d.c. series motor which has the following motor parameters:

field resistance Ft, = 0.08 0

armature resistance R. = 0.06 0

d.c. series motor constant k = 0.01

With an average armature current of 85 A, find:

d. the motor speed (in rpm),

e. the motor torque.
