(taking order and writing his or her name. 10 seconds )--( taking payment from customer and giving recipt. 45 seconds )--(prepairing coffee. 60 seconds)--(calling customer. 5 seconds)

1- Suppose the Starbucks Café only serves grande mocha. Under this assumption:

i. Draw the process flow diagram for Starbucks and clearly show the operations and the processing times of each activity.

ii. Determine the bottleneck operation, process cycle time, capacity, ROFT, and process utilizations.

iii. Determine the average flow time and compare it with ROFT.

iv. Suppose Starbucks can hire an additional staff. What is the best way to employ the additional staff to increase the capacity?

v. Suppose, they cannot hire any new staff. Given the existing workers, discuss a strategy to reorganize the process to increase the capacity of Starbucks.

2- Now, suppose the Starbucks Café only serves grande mocha and a cold sandwich. Under this assumption:

a. Draw the process flow diagram.

b. Determine the capacity of the existing process and suggest how the capacity can be improved by using the exiting staff.
