Ethyl alcohol (C2H5OH(g)) at 25°C is burned in a steady-flow adiabatic combustion chamber with 40 percent excess air that also enters at 25°C. Determine the adiabatic flame temperature of the products at 1 atm assuming the significant equilibrium reactions are CO2 = CO +O2 and N2 + O2 = NO. Plot the adiabatic flame temperature and kmoles of CO2, CO, and NO at equilibrium for values of percent excess air between 10 and 100 percent.
