You are given very little samples of two amines, A and B. You are tell that one sample is 2-methyl-2-heptanamine as well as the other is N-ethyl-4-methyl-2-pentanamine. You perform a mass spectral analysis and determine that Sample A has a base peak at m/e = 72 as well as Sample B has a base peak at m/e = 58. For alkyl amines such as A and B, base peaks result from cleavage alpha to the N atom. Allot structures to A and B. Define how you arrived at your answer.
