1- Find the voltage v0 and current i0 of the diode circuit shown in the figure below. You may assume a diode cut-in voltage of vy = 0.7V.
2- Consider the diode circuit shown below.
(a) If the diode and circuits parameters are vPS = 8V, R = 20KΩ, vy = 0.7V, and vi = 0.25 sin(ωt)V, Determine the quiescent diode current and time-varying diode current.
(b) Repeat part (a) if the resistor is change to R = 10kΩ
3- The reverse-saturation current of a pn junction diode and a Shottky diode are Is = 10-14A and 10-9A respectively. Determine the forward-bias voltages required to produce a current of 100μA in each diode.
4- A pn junction diode and a Schottky diode have equal cross-sectional areas and have forward bias currents of 0.5mA. The reverse-saturation current of the Schottky diode is Is = 5×10-7A. The difference in forward-bias voltages between the two diodes is 0.3V. Determine the reverse-saturation current of the pn junction diode.

A 200 nm oxide film is deposited on a 500 m thick bare silicon wafer that has a radius of curvature of 300 m. After deposition, the radius is measured to be 200 m. A 600 nm nitride film is now deposited on the oxide
A customer has a 2 story house and needs a whole house fan to run on timers, 1 on each floor, the ability to choose high or low speed on either floor, and signal lights to show if in high or low speed on each floor. The diagram has 4 single pull s..

Suppose that without a 1k-ohm load an amplifier's output voltage is 5Vpp but when the 1k-ohm load is attached, it drops to 3Vpp. What is the output impedance of the amplifier
A south-facing collector at latitude 40%u25E6 is tipped up at an angle equal to its latitude. Compute the following insolations for January 1st at solar noon: a. The direct beam insolation normal to the sun's rays.
Perform a link budget for a 25-kilometer point-to-point microwave link in the 30 GHz band. Calculate the free space loss (dB), received power dBm), fade margin (dB), and Fresnel zone radius(m) given the following: Tx Power = 70 dBm
You've formed a band, despite advice to the contrary. Actually, the band is pretty good except for the fact that the lead singer (who owns the drum set, the microphones, and the garage where you practice) is a bit tone-deaf.
A charge q is located at each corner of an equilateral triangle of side a. Find the magnitude of the force on each charge. Sketch the directions of forces.
A video signal contains light variations that change at a frequency as high as 3.5 MHz. What is the minimum sampling frequency for A/D conversion?
In an AC-DC power adapter, one of the following two conversions is used: half-wave recti?er and full-wave recti?er. The half wave recti?er can be described mathematically as a system with input x(t) and output y(t) such that
The average noise power per unit bandwidth measured at the front end of an AM receiver is 10^(-3) watt per Hertz. The modulating wave is sinusoidal, with a carrier power of 80 kilowatts, and a sideband power of 10 kilowatts per sideband.
