A 45-cm-thick, 300-cm-high lightweight concrete masonry unit wall lies on a 20-cm-thick lightweight plain concrete slab. The 20-cm wide slab is supported by a reinforced concrete beam, which is placed on top of two columns (simply supported beam). The beam cross-section is presented below with eight 16-mm cold-formed steel reinforcing rods. The plan view of a typical floor in the 2-story office building. The cross-sectional view of the system is also presented. Use ASCE7-05 for any needed data.
