A buck converter has input voltage of 10 V, switching frequency 1 kHz, The load resistance of 5 Ω requires average voltage of 5 V with a maximum ripple of 20 mV. The maximum ripple current of the inductor is 0.2 A.

Determine:
(a) Duty cycle.

(b) Output inductance and output capacitance.

(c) Sketch the waveforms for the diode current iD(t) and diode voltage vD(t). Show and label the sequence in which the diode conducts.
