Question - Pitchay is an Indian citizen. He was appointed as a software engineer in Kaleidoscope Bhd (KB), a Malaysian-based public listed company starting from 1 November 2015. KB has a number of branches in the country, as well as in South-East Asian countries, therefore, Pitchay constantly needs to travel to serve the local and overseas branches. Pitchay came to Malaysia on 1 December 2015 soon after his appointment. However, he was in Malaysia only for 7 days as he had to go back to India to settle his visa issues. He came back to Malaysia on 1 March 2016. From 24 December 2016 to 10 January 2017, he took his family to Indonesia for Christmas and New Year vacation. He then came back to Malaysia. He was then being sent to Vietnam from 29 April to 30 June to oversee the branches there. During his occupation in Vietnam, he was diagnosed with a serious illness, and quickly sent to Singapore for treatment from 1 July to 26 September 2017. After he recovered, Pitchay decided to take an unpaid leave and returned to India from 27 September 2017 to 31 March 2018. Pitchay returned to Malaysia on 1 April 2018, feeling healthy. He was later sent to Philippines for a course between 1 May 2018 and 30 September 2018. Then, he returned to Malaysia. In year 2019, Pitchay took his family to visit Turkey between 1 April 2019 and 13 April 2019. During the visit, his son had an accident. The family, except for Pitchay, returned to India, while Pitchay returned to Malaysia to settled his employment matters. Then, Pitchay took a leave to take care of his son in India from 21 April 2019 until 31 May 2019. On 1 June, he was called back to the main office in Malaysia, and later assigned to attend an important long course in India from 8 June, and was back in Malaysia on 1 November 2019. In year 2021, KB launched two new branches in Thailand and Indonesia. Pitchay was sent to oversee the work in both locations. He was in Thailand between 1 January 2021 to 31 May 2021, and later to Indonesia until end of the year. Pitchay returned to India on 1 January 2022 to visit his family. In 1 April 2022, he returned to Malaysia. His contract with KB expires on 15 June 2022, and Pitchay left Malaysia for good on 30 June 2022.
