An 8-in.-diameter well penetrates an unconfined aquifer in which the static water table is 150 ft thick. The coefficient of permeability of the soil is 400 gpd/ft2 and the well is located 100 ft from an impervious vertical barrier.

The well is pumped at 0.8 cfs. Determine and plot the equilibrium drawdown curve on a line through the well and perpendicular to the barrier.

Assume that the radius of influence of the well would be 2000 ft if the barrier were not present.
