The references mark will be based on overall presentation, and use of referencing in- text and in the bibliography/reference list. Note that students do not need to go beyond the textbook for discussion of the theory/practice sources, but all business media, internet and company websites need to be accurately and comprehensively referenced
To assist students in the development of their report, in weeks 6-8 time will be devoted to short presentations of their industry analysis, and discussions of the possible recommendations. This is ungraded, but provides the opportunity for guidance and feedback. Students will be expected to have a single page summary of their situational analysis and preliminary strategic options and recommendations, and be prepared to present for 5 minutes. Students are encouraged to use powerpoint slides to support their presentation. This formative assessment is ungraded, but is a requirement for successful completion of this assessment item.
Note also that in the tutorials in weeks 6-9 there will be group activity using the templates. These templates are used to assist you. They are not the final report.
