Managing Digital Business Essay Assignment -

This essay is in two parts - part A and part B - as follows.

Part A -

You will be asked to design your own virtual business within an industry of your choice. This assessment allows you to demonstrate that you can put the theories, concepts and ideas you have learned throughout the module into practice. The assessment should include the following:

An introduction to the business - what type of business; what is unique about it; aims and objectives; what business model you are using
Discussion on how you would use some of the technologies explored throughout the module within the business: i.e. social media; mobile; cloud; analytics etc. what purpose would they serve?
A discussion on what you anticipate to be the key challenges of using and/or implementing these technologies and how would you overcome them?

You are not required to go in to detail about setting up the business, but instead focus on how technologies would be used within it. You should use recent literature to support your points.

(Maximum 2,500 words in length)

Part B -

Personal reflection - Thinking about the topics covered in the module, how do you think these will impact on your future career. You may wish to consider both the benefits and challenges for you personally. You are not required to consider every topic, but instead discuss those most relevant to your future career.

(Maximum 500 words in length)

Assignments should be a maximum of 3,000 words in length.
