Assignment - Instructions

After reading the chapters in this module, students will design the logic for an application and submit a partially completed Java program.

In this assignment, students will design the logic for the program that prompts the user for two numbers and an operator (+, -, *, /, or %). The two numbers and the operator are passed to the method where the appropriate arithmetic operation is performed. The result is then returned to the main() method where the arithmetic operation and result are displayed.

The student will also submit a partially completed Java program for Lab 9-4: Writing Methods that Return a Value on page 162 in the Java Programming textbook. Remember to download the Calculator.java file and make the modifications where indicated in the instructions.

In this assignment, students will submit both the .java and the .class files for the completed program and the pseudocode. Also, include screenshot of your program execution similar to the sample output below. Submit your program to the appropriate dropbox by the posted due date.

The pseudocode must be submitted as a Microsoft Word compatible file. Examples of Word compatible documents are those with a .doc, .docx, or .rtf file extension. If there is a question about the format, consult with your instructor before submitting your assignment.
