In quarter 1, You organized your company and set your business in motion. You are now ready to take the next step towards entering the market.

In this quarter, you will take on a full assortment of business activities. Your initial business strategy is in place, but you must complete all of the tactics that flow from that strategy to become a fully functioning business enterprise. You should be concerned with employee compensation plans, production scheduling, advertising campaigns, pricing, sales and service personnel, cash flow, and profitability.

Here are the specific decisions you will make in quarter 2:

1. Design one or two brands to appeal to each target segment, if you have not done so last quarter.

2. Set the selling price of each brand.

3. Design an advertisement for each brand.

4. Schedule the ads in the media.

5. Hire sales and service personnel.

6. Open a new sales outlet for quarter 3 (optional).

7. Set a compensation package for your employees.

8. Schedule the production of your brands.

9. Plan employee survey regarding system improvements.

10. Schedule inspection of key components.

11. Purchase market research.

12. Run financial projections.

13. Make sure your financial projections result in at least 300,000 in your cash account.

During Quarter 2, you and your team will be testing market brands, prices, ad copy, media campaigns, sales staffing, and compensation package. In addition, your team will study the market's response and investigate competitive tactics and the firm's own operational and financial performance. During this quarter, you and your team will need to make adjustments in strategy as needed. Decisions are due and must be submitted no later than the date and time posted in the Conscious Capitalism simulation.
