Peter Jenkins is a registered sex offender who thinks that it is a woman's role to tend to a man's desires. Men have desires that should be fulfilled whenever he wants to and have no control over the urges, and it is a woman's obligation to fulfill man's sexual needs. He claims that his urges become more uncontrollable when he is under stress and feels this is the only way to relieve his stress. Whenever he commits his sexual offence, he feels no remorse and does not feel he has to justify his actions. He feels that the women deserve whatever they get and should not complain. Peter also feels that most of the times women put themselves in the position to be abused sexually, by the way they dress, the places they hang out. He also feels that is why people go out to bars to socialize, drink, dance and indulge in consensual intimacies that may turn aggressive.
The major issues that need to be addressed are the source of his behavior and belief system that demeans women and hold them in very low category. The source of his coping mechanism used to relief stress. Replacing his current mindset with a more positive expression or understanding about his thoughts and actions; Peter needs to take responsibility for his actions and understand the nature of his crime.
We need to define and repair this issue.
