After completing this module, students will be able to:
I. Demonstrate comprehension of the time periods, major societies, and major figures of Western Civilization from the early Middle Ages through the Age of Exploration.
These outcomes correspond with the learning outcomes listed in the master syllabus for Western Civilization I:
I. Evaluate the impact of early European cultures upon the development of Western Civilization from prehistory through the Protestant Reformation;
II. Evaluate the impact of significant individuals, groups, and institutions upon the course or history;
III. Show the impact of technology development of Western Culture;
IV. Illustrate similarities and differences between historical eras;
V. Comprehend ideas and supporting details of college-level reading materials
We have discussed and analyzed an amazing array of experiences, developments, and events over 4500 years. Thinking back over the entire semester, if you could participate in or witness one event, what would it be?
I. Identify one event that you would like to participate in or witness.
