Assessment 2- Practical Assessment
The Practical Assessment is a set of tasks that must be completed in a Simulation Environment-Bounce Fitness. To be assessed for this unit of competency, you must demonstrate your skills and knowledge to interpret a creative brief and evaluate a range of innovative options to write persuasive copy.
The Practical Assessments in this workbook include:
Simulated Workplace Project Assessment
A series of tasks assessing the learner's practical knowledge and skills relevant to the unit of competency. This includes the learner completing Simulated Workplace documents or similar as evidence of competent performance.
Simulated Workplace Practical Observation
A set of assessment tasks where the learner must demonstrate practical skills relevant to the unit of competency. These skills are to be demonstrated while being observed by the assessor.

Simulated Workplace Project Assessment
Project Overview
This simulated workplace project assessment requires you to write at least two persuasive contents in each of the following formats:
digital
audio.
This assessment is divided into three tasks:
Task 1: Prepare Content Plan
Task 2: Develop Persuasive Content
Task 3: Finalise Persuasive Content
This project requires you to complete the assessment tasks in a real workplace or simulated environment where the conditions are typical of those in a working environment in this industry.
Each task comes with a set of instructions. You are to follow and perform these instructions while being observed by the assessor and/or submit any required documentation as evidence of task completion.
Before starting this assessment, your assessor will discuss with you these tasks, including instructions, resources, and guidance for satisfactorily completing them.
You are required to:
Complete the tasks within the time allowed, as scheduled in-class roll.
Write at least two persuasive contents in each of the following formats:
digital
audio.
Task 1: Select Advertising Platforms According to Creative Brief
Assessment Instructions
This task will require you to interpret a creative brief, evaluate at least two persuasive writing techniques, and prepare a partially completed Content Plan.
Use the Content Plan template provided on Appendix section at the end of this assessment workbook.
To complete this task, you must:
Obtain and review the following for information needed to prepare a content plan:
At least one creative brief
Organisational policies and procedures relevant to writing copy
Legislation related to production and delivery of copy
Standards related to production and delivery of copy
Codes of practice related to production and delivery of copy
Identify the following compliance requirements:
Related to production and delivery of copy
At least one legislation
At least two standards
At least two codes of practice
Relevant to writing copy
At least two organisational policies and procedures
Identify the following from the creative brief:
The communication purpose
At least two communication objectives
The positioning strategy
The target customer profile
At least two key messages to be communicated
The call-to-action for each identified message
The call-to-action sets out what is expected from the target customers after being exposed to the communicated message.
At least two tools to be used for communicating messages.
Tools refer to implements that help to support sales and generate awareness about the product or brand. Identified tools must include at least one that is digital and one that uses an audio format.
For each tool, identify:
At least one purpose that the tool serves
The purpose of a tool is the reason for which the tools is being used.
At least one function of the tool
The function of a tool is what it does to achieve the purpose.
At least one key feature of the tool
A key feature of a tool is a characteristic which enables the tool to perform its function.
At least two jobs to be completed.
A job is a task to be completed.
For each job, identify:
The timeline within which the job must be completed.
The budget within which the job must be completed.
At least one constraint that applies to the job.
A constraint is any requirement within which the job must be completed.
Prioritise and sequence the identified jobs based on the brief's timelines.
Assess and select at least two persuasive writing techniques according to the creative brief for each of the following communication formats:
A persuasive writing technique is one which convinces the audience of the communication message to take specific actions or agree with communication message.

For each writing technique, identify the following formatting requirements:
Language
Language refers to how words will be used in a structured way to position the reader to accept the communicated point of view.
Writing style
Writing style refers to the overall feeling of the message to be communicated.
Level of detail
Level of detail refers to the granularity of the message to be communicated.
Prepare a partially completed Content Plan, in accordance with the creative brief, organisational policies and procedures, legislation, standards, and codes of practice, incorporating all items listed above.

This task will require you to develop persuasive content for each of the digital and audio communication formats selected in Simulated Workplace Project Task 1, in accordance with the creative brief and update the Content Plan.
To complete this task, you must:
Obtain and review the following from Simulated Workplace Project Task 1 for information needed to develop persuasive content:
The creative brief
The partially completed Content Pan
For at least one digital and at least one audio communication format:
Evaluate the following, based on the creative brief:
At least two design options
Design options refer to visual artwork options.
At least two copy options
Copy options refer to text content options.
For each design and copy option, use at least one analysis and at least one explorative technique to develop the following:
Analysis techniques use existing data on the motivations of the audience and exploratory techniques collect data on the motivations of the audience to help understand them and provide solutions.
At least one new idea
A new idea refers to a concept that has not been used before.
At least one innovative idea
An innovative idea refers to a concept that is better than one that has been used before.
Select one design and one copy option within the timelines and budgets identified in the partially completed Content Plan in Simulated Workplace Project Task 1.
Each selected option should have one new idea and one innovative idea.
Update the following sections in the partially completed Content Plan.

Task 3: Finalise Persuasive Content
Assessment Instructions
This task will require you to consult at least two stakeholders for feedback on the persuasive content for each of the digital and audio communication formats developed in Simulated Workplace Project Task 2 and prepare final content.
To complete this task, you must:
Obtain and review the persuasive content for each of the digital and audio communication formats developed in Simulated Workplace Project Task 2.
Consult at least two stakeholders for feedback on the persuasive content. During the consultation evaluate the stakeholder feedback and identify the required amendments to the persuasive content, for each of the digital and audio communication formats.
Stakeholders refer to people within or outside the organisation who may be affected by the planned communication.
Implement the required amendments and prepare the final content.
Proofread content to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Seek approval of the final content from at least two relevant personnel prior to the release deadline.
Relevant personnel are people within the organisation who have the authority to approve the planned communication.
