Focus on coverage of Mongol conquest and Mongol influence on trade and culture. You should be able to find relevant information mainly in sections 11.8-11.10, but also in sections 4.13, 8.13, and 12.18. You can find the complete textbook online. Take into account comprehensiveness, clarity, and organization structure as defined on the textbook review page,. Give specific examples (brief summary with page numbers) to support your evaluation.

2. Describe the coverage of theMongols in the book bundle textbook for the class. For the Tuesday-Thursday class this is Felipe Fernandez-Armesto, The World: A History, vol. 1 (available through eLearn). For the Monday-Wednesday class, this is Peter von Sivers, et al., Patterns of World History, vol. 1 (available in hard copy through the bookstore).

Focus on coverage of Mongol conquest and Mongol influence on trade and culture(chapter 12 in Fernandez-Armesto; this is covered mainly in chapter 12 in von Sivers, which describes the Yuan Dynasty in China and the Mughal Empire in India). Take into account comprehensiveness, clarity, and organization structure flow as defined on the textbook review page. Give specific examples (brief summary with page numbers) to support your evaluation.

3. Compare the coverage of river valley civilizations in the two textbooks you examined.

Do you think that the Mongols should be treated as a separate historical topic in World History or should their invasions be treated separately for each region that they conquered? Give specific examples (brief summary with page numbers) to support your evaluation.
