Introduction of Rotary Encoder to Motor

Add a rotary encoder to the motor and control the number of turns automatically by counting pulses until a fixed number of pulses occur. Then turn the motor off. You may observe pulses with the oscilloscope. There are 1024 pulses per revolution of the encoder shaft.

Describe the action of the motor and how the circuit accomplishes the task. If one were to move the pin from Q12 to Q11 or Q13, what would be the result? Try this and describe your results.
