Problem: Health policy affects nursing in all setting and specialties and across all patient-care groups. Health-care policy decisions dictate where care is delivered, to whom care is delivered, and who pays for care. Nurses need to have a working knowledge of these issues to understand how members of the largest health care profession can influence policy. The goal of this assignment is for everyone to become familiar with current health care policy issues: Summarize and reflect on a current event article on changing health care policy.
