Title : How does the double meaning of the title help us to understand the central idea in the story?

Theme: Possible subjects in Turtle Island: Native Identity, Native Culture, Childhood, Crime (drugs), Innocence etc. How can we take one of those subjects and turn it into a statement of theme? In your post, state the theme of the story.

Character: Describe how the narrator in Turtle Island changes throughout the story.
