1. How would you describe the general attitudes towards marijuana use amongst the emerging adults that you know and interact with today? In your experience, do most emerging adults view it as something harmful, healthy, or in-between? Where do you think their ideas about marijuana use come from?

2. The research is clear that many of the strands of marijuana currently available through dispensaries are chemically different than strands of marijuana in the past. The newer strands are physically addictive and can trigger psychotic episodes, particularly amongst adolescents and young adults. As for marijuana (and other drugs) not regulated and sold through dispensaries or pharmacies, we are seeing an increase in deaths amongst users due to the substances being laced with fentanyl. What can and should professionals who work with young adults (and even adolescents) be doing to increase awareness and decrease risk? Describe at least two strategies that you think might be effective and explain why you think they would help.
