5. After our discussion of chapter 17, which leadership model is most compelling to you, and why? Which of the leadership theories doesn't seem to be valid for you in 2016, and why? In an interview setting, what questions might you ask to determine the candidate's "leadership potential"?

6. If most managers prefer the 10-10-10-70 model of management (focus on control), how would you convince them that 30-30-30-10 will be more productive in their business? What is the best use of 'control' as a management function? In the best situation, how does control relate to the other management functions?

7. As a preview of your management journal assignment, you can select this question as a short essay response for exam 1: describe a "good-bad-ugly" management situation and why you considered that management was good (or not so good) in that specific situation. Make sure that your answer ties to one of the four primary management fUnctions.
