Use exactly the same format as the mid-semester assessment (including the same word limit), though keeping the general and specific feedback you received in mind. This is your chance to take what you have learnt, do some extra research (and perhaps a web search!), and to demonstrate your understanding of quantitative methods. The techniques you learned about this semester equipped you with the building blocks of what you need in order to analyse these data, but as always you will need to look beyond the lecture material in order to really excel.
Coursework - A researcher wishes to test whether daily exercise improves memory in people with moderate dementia. She runs a study in which patients are randomly allocated to undergo either half an hour of supervised treadmill walking at the university every day for a month (exercise group), or to come to the university and talk to the researcher for half an hour (non-exercise group). She tests their memory at the start of the treatment period, in the middle of the treatment period (i.e., at two weeks) and at the end of the treatment period (i.e., at four weeks). The test is scored out of 100, with higher scores indicating better memory.
Note - Analysis method to use is Two way mixed anova 2 way because two independent variables-time points and exercise levels And mixed because time is a repeated measure i.e. same participants in all three conditions.
