As an MFT trained to view client problems from a relational lens, how do you see the contextual factors identified in the treatment plan as being instrumental in the development and maintenance of sexual issues for clients?

Dr. Buehler (2017) offers very pointed and thought-provoking questions for us to consider as we work with diverse clients within the context of our own sexuality (p. 46). Dr. Buehler challenges us to think about how each of the following situations intersects with our own perception of sexual health and with the definition of sexual health covered. These are clinical examples you may encounter in your own future practice. What would be your initial reactions to such diversity of sexual interests and practices? How would you respond given your own sexuality and sense of sexual norms and/or health?
