Question

Most businesses that we consumers interact with on a daily basis fit the definition of a "monopolistically competitive" firm. They have competition that sells similar, but not identical products. So my question for you is this: what is the most worthless innovation that you can think of? This will, of course, be subjective. For example, a few years ago the sandwich shop "ToGo's" rolled out the "Pretzelrami" sandwich... which was, in my opinion, a total abomination. It was basically a pastrami sandwich, but on pretzel bread. I won't get too far off on a tangent here (although, for our entertainment, I hope you will in your response), but this sandwich offended me because of how perfect I think rye bread is with pastrami. The rye bread is perfect, and anything else is a step in the wrong direction, but especially pretzel bread.
