Explain as thoroughly as possible, because I seriously don't get ionizing very much When copper and silver nitrate oxidize/reduce, how does copper lose 2 electrons? Why not just one? Or three for that matter? Cu (s) + 2 Ag+ (aq) --> Cu^2+ (aq) +2 Ag (s)
