Problem: The Marriott Company owns and operates a number of different hotel chains, including the Courtyard chain. Recently, a survey was mailed to a random sample of 400 Courtyard customers. A total of 62 customers responded to the survey. The customers were asked a number of questions related to their satisfaction with the chain as well as several demographic questions. Among the issues of interest was whether there is a relationship between the likelihood that customers will stay at the chain again and whether this was the customer's first stay at the Courtyard.
