Brominated biphenyls (PBB) is created through an electrophilic aromatic bromization out of the hydrocarbon biphenyl.
My paper says that will be only one isomer out of hexabromobiphenyl, C12H4Br6 And it states also that one phenyl group is still the active substituent when it is bromized. I wonder why it is only one isomer and I will be so thankful if you can draw the hexabrombiphenyl for me.
Part 2. If brom is in shortage can you isolate three isomers of dibrombipehnyl C12H8Br2. from the reaction. How will they look like and why. I prefer if you can draw them but systematic name is also OK.
Part 3 How many dibromphenylisomerer is it out there?
The density of the manometer fluid is 2.75 g/cm3. The height of the manometer fluid on side 1 is 324 mm. The height of the manometer fluid on side 2 is 326 mm
Using extraction techniques how would you separate a mixture of aniline and toluene using dichloromethane as the extraction solvent?
Consider an ordinary 8 fluid oz. glass of water (H2O). Suppose, hypothetically, that all of the water molecules in the glass could be marked.
Compute how many ml of C2H3NaO2(0.2 M) need to be added to 200 mL of 0.1 M CH3COOH to make a buffer of pH 5 and also find out what would be the total concentration of C 2 H 3 O 2 be in this (acetate + acetic acid) solution ?
