Problem- When acetaldehyde is reacted is reacted with 3 equivalents of formaldehyde under alkaline condition, followed by treatment with sodium borphydride, the product formed show following spectra data IR:broad peak at 3326cm, HMR: singlet at 3.45 singlet at 4.78(found to be exchangeable)
