Debate: The Future of Business Ethics

Students whose last names begin with the letters A through K will argue in support of the following statement from "The Future of Business Ethics":

Corporations will be expected in the future to "build a better future" - not only for their shareholders but also for their customers, workers, business partners, community, nation, and the wider world. Those with effective business ethics based on this core value will have an added competitive advantage: attracting and retaining talent and generating positive reactions in the marketplace.

Students in the A through K group should clearly indicate their position on the debate by beginning each Discussion post with the heading "IN SUPPORT OF."

Students whose last names begin with the letters L through Z will argue that corporations cannot be expected to build a better future for customers, workers, business partners, the community, the nation, and the wider world.

Students in the L through Z group should clearly indicate their position on the debate by beginning each Discussion post with the heading "ARGUING IN OPPOSITION."
