Leadership and the members of the board seem to have a solid understanding throughout day-to-day of goals and opportunities for growth. The board meeting was very focused and seemed like everyone understood where the organization was at, this way what needed to be discussed happened quickly and efficiently without tangent. The board also consists several committees that handle communication and operations on a staff-level which contributes to the organization and the opportunity for there to be streamlined communication throughout the organization. With FSD being board-driven, it also is purpose-driven which helps push the mission and always keep that in the center of every decision and conversation. The organization's purpose is prioritized in a way that enforces balance amongst the entire organization and a responsibility to deliver what is best for the youth. I greatly admire FSD's ability to be always see the bigger picture in decision making and giving everyone on the board a voice that creates a "purpose-driven" environment.
