The term project requires you to design a personal portal to replace the site you currently use as your browser starting page. I think the best place to start this project is to think about what you like and dislike about the page you use now relative to your Internet usage habits.

To receive credit for this project activity, reply to this message and answer the following questions:

1. What is your current Web starting page on the computer you use most frequently (i.e., what's the address of the page that displays when you open your browser)? If you use more that one device or browser regularly, do they all use the same page or does the page vary? Why?
2. Why do you use this site (these sites) as your starting page? What does the site give you that you would miss if you had to change to another starting page? What elements of this site do you use most frequently? What elements do you never use?
3. If you were in charge of redesigning your current start page, what changes would you make to improve its user-friendliness for people in general?...what would make it better for you specifically?

How do you spend your time on the Internet? Think back over the past week or month. When you used a computer to access the Internet, what were you doing and why were you doing it? What is your most frequently visited Web address (besides your starting page, of course)?...why?
