A small electric car overcomes a 244N friction force when traveling 29.6km/hr. The electric motor is powered by ten 12.0V batteries connected in series and is coupled directly to the wheels whose diameters are 49.0cm. The 281 armature coils are rectangular, 10.9cm by 14.8cm, and rotate in a 0.520T magnetic field. How much current does the motor draw to produce the required torque? What is the back emf? What is the power dissipated by the coils? I found the back emf by emf=wNBA N=number of coils, B= B field given and A= area of rectangle which was 79.1 V and the current drawn by I=(Torque)/NAB at 25.4 Amps where torque was found by the force given times the radius of the tire. I have tried a few things for power dissipated and nothing is working.
