Shortly after the criminal trial of O.J. Simpson ended, black and white Americans were asked by pollsters whether they agreed with the jury's not-guilty verdict. In one of many such studies, a researcher questioned 150 respondents - 75 blacks and 75 whites - as to Simpson's guilt or innocence. He determined that 50 blacks but only 24 whites in his sample agreed with the jury that O.J. Simpson was not guilty.
