Everyone is required to answer DISCUSSION QUESTION 1. In addition, you should select TWO of the additional FOUR discussion questions to answer (questions 2, 3, 4, and 5).
1.Create a flow-process chart (see Figure 6.2 as an example) of a process you are familiar with from your day-to-day work life or personal life. (See the Flow-Process Chart Word template.) You are encouraged to include data indicating time and/or distance data for each step, as indicated in the template. Also, use the what, who, when, where, and how questions discussed in tables 6.1 and 6.2 to identify potential improvements in your process. Either put it on the Dropbox or post it in the Discussion text of you can.
2.Search the web for an article that discussed Business Process Reengineering. Provide the link to your article and discuss its main points.
3.Go to the ISO 9000 website. Spend some time exploring, and write a summary of your lessons learned (200+ words). (www.iso.ch)
4.Go to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award website. Spend some time exploring, and write a summary of your lessons learned (200+ words). (www.quality.nist.gov)
5.Look at Table 8.4 in Section 8.8, which provides examples of the costs of quality. List and discuss several costs of quality that exist either in your workplace or in your personal life, and categorize them in the appropriate category. How can some of these costs be reduced?
