A summary of Conflict Carrie using the five-stage conflict process and information

Conflict Carrie You are a data-entry clerk and new to the company. Your new supervisor introduced you to the other members of the team. When introduced to Carrie, she said, “I hope you know what you’re doing, because we don’t need slackers on this job,” and then she walked away. The supervisor did not comment on the statement, but simply continued to introduce you to the rest of the team. Later in the week, Carrie gave you one of her jobs because she wanted to take a long lunch, and said, “Don’t be a slacker.” You completed the job, but at the expense of your own lunch break. Carrie continued to give you her work right before lunch each day. You mentioned it to a coworker, who shared that she did this with several people, and no one was brave enough to say anything to her. The one person who did, ended up quitting his job, because Carrie became even more antagonistic toward him. The coworker shared that the supervisor was aware of the conflict, but did nothing to resolve.
